How to Install Downloader App on FireStick (Updated Nov 10, 2025)Step 1: Go to the Home Screen on your Fire TV Stick by clicking the Home Button on your Fire TV Stick Remote
Step 2: Click the Find icon on your FireStick home.
Step 3: Select the Search box.
Step 4: Using your FireStick remote, type Downloader using the on-screen keyboard. Then, select the first Downloader suggestion.Note: If you have a FireStick remote that supports voice control, press and hold the Microphone icon and say “Downloader.”
Step 5: Open Downloader.
Click Get/Download on the Downloader’s dashboard. After a few seconds, the Downloader will be installed.
Now, you can access Downloader from the Your Apps & Channels section.
How to Prepare to Use Downloader App by allowing FS to install unknown apps
Go to the settings on the FSSelect "My Fire TV"Select "About"Click (select button in middle of directional pad) "Fire TV" 8 consecutive times in row rapidlyNow press the back button on the remote control (sideways U shaped arrow)Now Select "Developer Options"Now Select "Install unknown apps"Now you should see "Downloader" there but it is currently toggled to OFF. Go ahead and select it so it now says ONNow you are good to go. To go back to the home screen press the Home button on the remote control
How to Use Downloader
Open the Downloader app
Once the Downloader app opens, click Allow then click OK
Go to the text field and click it.
You should now have the on-screen keyboard on your screen.
Enter the corresponding code below for the app you need to install
Click Go
Wait for app to download. Then Install App. Once complete open app and enter your login details. You're done :)
